Summary:

Large-scale numerical investigations of diffusion and mixing in fluids and gases governed by Burgers' equation, pressure-less gas dynamics and the Buckley-Levarett equation. Variational principle in gas dynamics. Application of Burgers' equation to cosmology and seimology. Instabilities and predictability in large systems.
